We all need guidance in our life and work. The source of our guidance determines our success.
Before he became a well known singer-songwriter, Drew Holcomb was looking for guidance on career options and major life decisions.
So he sought advice from an uncle of his who was savvy in business and leadership. At the time, his uncle was leading Emory University, one of the most prestigious universities in the South.
Drew shared his various career ideas, dreams, and the major decisions he was considering with his uncle. When Drew was finished sharing, his uncle said, “Drew, I’m going to consider everything you said and write you a letter about what I think you should do.”
Day after day, Drew waited and checked his mailbox for the letter. After a couple weeks, it arrived. Eagerly, Drew opened the letter and it said, “Dear Drew, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Love, Uncle Jimmy”
At first, Drew thought, “Is that all?” Yet, Drew has grown to appreciate this important advice and utilizes it in his life and work.
This is the very same advice that is available to us. But to take advantage of it, we must come to know God and trust God, as we apply His Word to our lives.
At The Center, we give guidance on career opportunities, challenges, and major life decisions every day. We’ve noticed that those who are trusting God and are not primarily leaning on their own understanding have a major advantage.

The Songs of Jesus offers inspiration every day for an entire year based on the Book of Psalms. Each day readers will encounter a fresh, inspiring lesson from one of the most beloved books in the Bible.
In this devotional Tim and Kathy Keller recommend an enhanced way to meditate on scripture. The following are their suggestions: Read the text slowly, once or twice, and then ask these three questions.
Adore — What did you learn about God for which you could praise or thank him?
Admit — What did you learn about yourself for which you could repent?
Aspire — What did you learn about life that you could aspire to, ask for, and act on?
Once you have answered these three questions, you have your own meditation. Now, turn your meditation — already categorized as adoration, confession, and aspiration — into a personal prayer. This will take you into the deeper level of wisdom and insight.
This approach can be used with any of these devotionals.

The Path To Discipleship is a daily devotional written by Ronnie Stevens designed to help the reader draw deep insight into the life Jesus calls us to through The Gospel of John. This book is a beckoning to come closer to the Jesus who John knew. Deep reflection on just a verse or two each day will take the reader mid-way through the gospel in the course of a year. This book is part of a two part series on John; click here to view the second volume.

In this new devotional Ronnie Collier Stevens provides meaningful insight as he takes us through the book of Acts. This work offers exceptional passage by passage exposition and application of the book of Acts — providing input for how to understand, apply, and pray through each verse.

Sometimes, a hearty breakfast and a strong cup of coffee just aren’t enough. Best-selling author Paul David Tripp wants to energize you with the most potent encouragement imaginable: the gospel. Tripp knows that what we really need is an encounter with the living God.

By fueling our minds with truth day after day, our hearts will grow to see God as a satisfying treasure. Read or listen to a short, Christ-centered devotional from John Piper for every day of the year.
