As we complete our first ninety days at The Center - Memphis, there is so much to celebrate with gratitude and thanksgiving. God has been so good to us. He has given us a clear mission: To equip leaders by applying the truth of God’s Word to everyday life and work — with the goal of transforming lives as we lead our families, organizations, and great city.

God has been helping us fulfill that mission in our weekly in-person and Zoom sessions. We are grateful for the diverse set of leaders that have been participating from all over our city. While attendance has been more than we expected, we are even more encouraged by the testimonies of impact and transformation we hear during our sessions. We recently did a survey asking for feedback; here is what some of our group members are saying:

“The best part, for me, has been the building of a solid foundation of Biblical leadership thinking that can be applied at home and work.”

“I really enjoy and find fruit in hearing the biblical truths and  having open discussions on how we interpret things and how  we can apply the truths.

“Over the course of several sessions, I have concluded that the Lord has me on assignment-his assignment for me to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last." - John 15

We are equally thankful for the excellent suggestions about how our sessions and our digital content can be even more applicable for issues leaders face in the workplace. We are applying that feedback to everything we do.

I am personally humbled by the vast array of support God has provided through so many of you. It is an awesome privilege to serve you, my fellow leaders and difference makers. Your prayers, encouragement, guidance, attendance, and financial support have been incredible gifts. All of your love and support gives me a glimpse into how the Apostle Paul must have felt as he wrote to the Philippians, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in [us] will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 1:3-6 NIV)
